Polypropylene woven geotextile is a permeable geosynthetic material composed of polypropylene (PP) tape yarns woven together in both the lengthwise (warp) and crosswise (weft) directions in a regular pattern. It is characterized by high tensile strength, excellent durability, and stable mechanical properties.

Performance

1、Reinforcement:

Core Performance: PP Woven Geotextile Fabric possesses high tensile strength and tensile modulus.When embedded in soil,it distributes local loads over a wider area and restricts lateral soil movement,thereby enhancing soil stability and load-bearing capacity.Commonly used in reinforced soil walls and soft ground improvement.

2、Separation:

Placed between two dissimilar materials(e.g.,subgrade and soft subsoil,aggregate and soil),it prevents them from mixing.This maintains the integrity and function of each layer,ensuring proper load transfer and extending project service life.

3、Protection:

Due to its high puncture and tensile strength,it acts as a protective cushion by dissipating stress,reducing the risk of puncturing impermeable liners(e.g.,HDPE geomembranes).Also used for erosion control on riverbanks and coasts.

4、Drainage(Planar Flow):

PP Woven Fabric itself has high in-plane permeability,creating drainage channels that allow water to flow within its structure,dissipating pore water pressure and enhancing stability.

5、Durability:

Chemical Resistance: Polypropylene is highly resistant to a wide range of acids,alkalis,salts,and microorganisms,making it suitable for diverse soil and water pH conditions.

UV Resistance: The inclusion of UV stabilizers in the raw material effectively delays degradation under direct sunlight.When buried,its service life can exceed 50 years.
